I like them, but at their price point I'd probably buy something different. I tend to like the more obscure, rather than the more advertised, these days. They're starting at about £5k aren't they?

I know nothing about the watch market, but want to play in one of the cool SXOC threads that doesn't leak boost
This may be interesting, or insulting, dunno. I just found it in CAR magazine

Breitling equals brilliance in my opinion. My Colt Super Ocean has been put through hell. Dropped from a third story scaffold lift, run over, covered in concreate, tarmac, been submerged in salt water for 3 days (dont ask) and although the outer casing is shown signs of wear its never missed a beat, the glass is not chipped or scratched and kept incredible time for the last 15 years..... TBH its done shit loads better then the Longines Conquest watch i currently have at over twice the price and only 18 months old. Its already spent 4 months in service and the "tough" double clasp has broken on one side and the glass is chipped on several areas around the outside twice (Original reason why it was in service) as it sits slightly proud of the bezel. However I work in a office now and go no where near any building sites where i have the opportunity to put it through hell. That being said it is a very nice dress watch maybe im to hard on it.

Direct from Rotary, but it can be picked up anywhere really, it's SKU is GS02942/01

The itch for a Navitimer Cosmonaute is getting unbearable.

Also really love Montblanc's chunky case design.

As hard as I try I just can't like that Breitling, the face is just too busy

Extremely busy, but significantly functional (which of course will never be used most wearers).

I seem to gravitate towards busy faces on leather straps.

    nice

I sold two Patek watches back in the late 90s to an Arab. He couldn't speak a word of english and had this interpreter with him to do the direct transfer as the particular Patek was just shy of 75k!!!! next day come back and bought the second one. Best commission ever off the back of weapons money lol

Always liked Panerai but I can't do ten grand on a watch.

Started looking at homage watches and found this

Panerai Luminor Homage with a Japanese miyota 21 jewel automatic movement. Black PVD 904L stainless case, sapphire glass, Italian soft suede leather strap. Cost me 160 quid from a UK supplier.

Quality wise obviously it's nothing like my B&M but it's still very well constructed - heavy and reassuring and the movement gets good press for reliability. For the price I'm well happy
Year on, loads of use and it got used for some watersports a week or so ago and survived it just fine. Tell you what, for the money this big old thing has been fab.

As this has finally turned into a show your collection off thread. I succumbed to the Zenith El Primero Chronomaster earlier this year. It really is incredible I can't stop looking at it when it's in my wrist.

The 36,000VpH movement is so nice to watch.

Lovely watches shame about the new logo. Pretty much ruined the look of the watch for me

I'm back on the trail again. Want to scratch a 70's style racing chrono itch.

Thinking Tudor Heritage Chrono but I can't help but feel the Steinhart Racetimer Blue is possibly the better looking watch, and less than a third of the price, which makes it hard to outlay for the Tudor.

Also eyed up a Tudor Blackshield Fastrider but the salesman got too pushy, fed me BS about the movement and that he'd just come back from Mugetto with Dugati and met wossisname Valentino Marquez and they were all wearing Tudor innit, and just wait for this brand ambassador to come on board, prices are skyrocketing etc. Meh..

If I buy this wifey says I'm not allowed another watch for 5 years. Dilemma.

You will love the power reserve indicator such a useful feature. Also it's in a different league to the other watches.

She'll forget she said that in 2-3 years anyway. Make sure she's there for the free champagne whilst your buying it
