Yes I did buy that engine from you mate. Sold it on after storing it for my S13 project. Thread here

I decided not to use it as my original engine was still good.

Why did you abandon your project

Hi mate what products are you using because im thinking about doing something like this to mine but using hi gloss black.
A list and how you are applying them would be grate because from these pics it looks like you have a painting tray out. (Maybe I’m just being stupid and that is for something else compleatlay.)

    Time for a little update.

I was very suprised with the condition off the rear, only light surface rust apart from around one off the exhaust hangers.

So after removing all old seam sealer, stitch welded around the rear then electroloxed it seamsealed it, stone chip and 2 K white..

Hi mate the painting tray in the pic is my degreasing tray. But I did use a smaller one for the 2K.

What I did is simular to what Petrol did on his major refurb project.

Firstly clean of as much dirt as you can with a power hose.
Then after jacking it up PROPERLY I sprayed all the chassis rail internals with DYNAX s-50.
    Then degrease everything.

I used a few wire brushes to remove the stone chip and seam sealer from all seams to check for rust.

Now use DEOX gel ( Bilt and Hamber ) to clean up any rusty areas, luckily mine was pretty good.
    Clean with panel wipe.

I then used ELECTROLOX zinc rich primer ( Bilt and Hamber ). You can either spray or paint brush this.
Now seam seal all the seams.

Using a Shultz gun I applied the overpaintable stone chip. Took 9 1 Litre cans to do underneath and wheel arches.

Finally I put on the 2 K acrylic white. I did this with both roller and brush.

    Hope this helps Chris..

Ah fair play abandoned the s13 project due to needing the cash at the time-regretted it ever since as it was THE mintest shell I have ever seen

and ended up stripping my s14a due to rust

Been a while since I posted any updates on this, so I took some pics yesterday and here they are..

    Interior

nearly all done now wanted to go away from race harnesses , but I may change the front seats for something a bit more supportive.
Dash all done with heater controls all working fine.

All ready now for the engine to go in.

A pic off the rear end nearing completion.

All the outlet side is now done. Will post up a few pics later.

Now its time for the inlet.

Been thinking for a while on which way to go with this and I have had the following ideas.

GTR complete plenum . Very expensive to do will need adaptor plates which are difficult to get.

Ebay plenum Have quality issues and getting difficult to get.

Plazzman plenum. Very expensive and just dont like the look off them

So I have decided to have a go at making a GTR plenum fit the GTST lower intake.

I have machined down the intake plenum and using a 20mm thick ally plate, I will screw the GTR plenum too it. I will then weld the throttle body on the inlet.
