    Need help near Glasgow

I have found a car I want to buy but the buyer is "to busy" to take pics for me. It's a lhd s13 and I don't want to come all the way up there and have it be a rust bucket. It's only got 55k and the best part is it's a calafornia import so I can take it back home when I leave the UK. Its been in storage for 2 years so no tax or mot. Would someone be willing to give it a look over for me?

Did Kieran have a look at it? Do you know whereabouts in lanarkshire it is? I might have time this weekend to go see it if you're still in need

KA24 is a fantastic engine, loads of bolt on performance parts available in the US.

There's a possibility that you could book the car in for an mot in norfolk then drive it down. If you get pulled then you could just say that your on your way to the mot station.

Yea I pulled that one off........ just. I got a pull at the border and managed to talk my way out of it. I wouldn't recommend it though as it was a close call

yea i was thinking that but dont want to chance it. really i would pay someone if they were able to get it mot'd for me. The only known problem is the windscreen wipers dont work.

Where is point A (the 200) and where is point B (mot station). Depending on if the streets are tight or not I could use the low loader if am close bye. Am always around Glasgow I would need to be Abel to get close too it with the low loader and unit lol. Don't mind helping as long as am not too long lol

Forgot to ask. Is the car lowered at all as this may pose a problem.

Im down in Norfolk, Kieran_e1 knows about where the car is and i have no idea where to get it mot'd. Car is standard and drives fine. Just has no mot or Tax. So if i can get it MOT'd i can get tax and drive it home

Driving it to a local MOT gagrage will be no issue as long as its insured. The "issue" I had with the cops was that i was driving a fresh import with no plates and on a trade policy all the way from Newcastle up the motorway
