Custom Dash

hi,

Ive been toying with the idea of making a custom dash, wiring up the heaters, mirror electrics myself on individual switches etc, using bought monitoring equipment for ALL my needs.

My question - material

What material would you think best to use to create such dash. The car has a cage in already so it has to be made around this, the door cards will only have the closing handle on and be as flat as possible. As many of the interior holes which were previously covered by interior trim will be covered in the same way to give a theme.

This theme is only for practical purpose as the car will only be a 'toy' not a daily.
