    It's a slippery slope....

..... but i'm on it with my OCD

I'm kinda blaming Jem because i always look at his cars and think 'wow i wish mine was that smart', I know my car is as clean as i can get it but it could always look better in my opinion.

For years i've thought about get a machine polisher so i can improve any car i buy but have never got round to it for one reason or another, after a chance remark made on Jems thread the other day has lead me to be the owner of some detailing paraphernalia

AdDaMan contacted me with an offer to purchase all his equipment as he can no longer use it to the best effect.

So what i have aquired is:

Kestrel DAS-6 Dual Action Polisher Only Used for about 6 hours.
    3.5" Backing plate
    5" Backing Plate
    4" Grey Polishing Pad

7" Meguiars Soft Buff 2.0 Polishing Pad
7" Meguiars Soft Buff 2.0 Foam Cutting Pad
7" Meguiars Soft Buff 2.0 Foam Finishing Pad

    1x Sponge Polish Applicator Pad

Meguiars #83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish 98% Full

Meguiars Deep Crystal System Polish 95%
Meguiars Deep Crystal System Paint Cleaner 95%
Meguiars NXT Generation Glass Cleaner 45%
Meguiars PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner 75%

Zaino Z7 Show Car Wash Concentrate 75%
Zaino Z6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer 95%
Zaino Z8 Grand Finale Spray Seal 95%

Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite 20%
    Dodo Juice Sour Power 40%

    Poorboys Nattys Paste Wax 80%

Bilt Hamber Auto-Clay 200g Used Once

Meguiars Clay Bars 1 New, 1 Used In tub.

I have a bit of a clue what to do with it all but need to do some product research so i know what i'm working with, I also need to watch a good number of vids to see how to use the DA without doing any damage.

    Let battle commence.......

Actually the swirls aren't that bad but does look like it's been driven through a hedge at some point, lots of straight marks up the A pillar and across the C pillar.

I know what you mean, I used to be like this, then I managed to get myself clean (pun intended ) but now my missus (who's a valeter) has got me back on it again now every time I drive the car I give it a QD when I get home again to make sure it stays clean

If anyone wants to practice their detailing skills give me a call as I have a swirly 14a that would give a good detailer a run for their money

May require your services at some point ...spent 4 hours cleaning and polishing the car yesterday, but my bonnet still looks a bit tatty. Rest of the car is fine though

See i quite like washing cars and my dad said yesterday, when i told him what i bought, that it would suit me down to the ground.

I seem to have aquired some more friends since i've mentioned the polisher to a few people and funnily enough no-one wants to pay for the service
