Before I wasn't too sure about your engine choice but the more I read, the more im liking it.

I'm another that can't understand the hatred of the sr. It's a fact that its a better engine than the ca. Yeah out the box it's not all that good (same goes with the ca) but it has a shit more tuning potential than the old pig iron ca. If it was that shit then you guys should tell the guys at Mazworxs where there going wrong.

    Pipe down love

Love this car I'm not the SR's biggest fan either but like Si I actually don't have an issue with it being in this car, much like the other Jim's Anglia. Very cool

Bet you didn't even get as much grief as this over the engine choice on an Alfa purists forum

Geometry pack refitted along with new adjustable camber arms and new polybushes/balljoints and spherical wishbone bearings. Checked the wheel bearings but these were as new so just repacked them with grease. Rust protection thanks to POR 15 and powdercoating. You can also see the home made caliper adaptors (big lump of T6 ally). Whilst functional these are prototype and may get a set machined up and anodised to look a bit prettier.

Engine in along with battery and Rover 200 fuse box fresh from the breakers.

Need to redirect the turbo outlet again so that it gets a nice cler run to the intercooler

Intercooler in hanging off the modified rad. There seems to be different opinion on what gap to leave between the rad and the i/c. I ended up going for approx 7mm which will allow some air to get round the i/c when stationary in traffic.

Tom got on with the wiring (hardly anything left of the original loom as it was just a fire waiting to happen). For example Alfa run a wire for the horn down the inside of the steering column no problem on first look until you see it is permanent live and not fused I have the full S14 loom so lots of the relays finding a new home.

While Tom was hard at work with the soldering iron I started playing with silicone

    .

A few things to do before attempting a start up.... mainly coolant system related. More on this later.....

Please tell me you're going to modify the rocker cover in some way to say "Alfa Romeo" and confuse the bejeebus out of people???

What's the reason for the Rover Fuse box? (Thought it might have been more logical to use the Nissan's?)

Like the rocker cover idea :-) Personally I do think you need to remove the 'Nissan' from the rocker :-)

The Nissan fuse box is hoooge and designed for a loads of accessories such as ABS, Aircon, Electric windows etc... The Rover item is very compact as you can see I don't have much room to spare. There are more fuses inside the car but the primary ones are under the bonnet.

I will be removing the Nissan Rocker logo but still on a hunt for a spare rocker cover to crackle paint or polish. Not sure about the putting Alfa Romeo on it (still unsure of the calipers).

Can't see why not. But wouldnt Scooby running gear be easier. Make it 4WD too.
