Could I have this moved into the projects section now I've got my membership?

I've got a few big updates to add but don't want to until it's in the right section.

    Update

    At last!

Now I'm a member I'm going to try and keep this project thread up to date, so some catching up to do!

Took the SX to the Le Mans 24Hr this year! 1000mile round trip in which it performed perfectly and returned 35mpg :

And a pic, of the group of us that went, incase any of you lot recognise us! ( slim chance I know)

It was this trip that made me notice just how hot the oil temp was getting after sustained time spent 'on boost'. I immediately planned to by a bigger radiator but as the car is destined for track work I felt an oil cooler would be necessary as well. This came up in the sales just at the right time!

A 10 row greddy grex oil cooler with thermostatic sandwich plate.

I just need to sort out some longer lines for it as the ones currently fitted are quite short!

Then to go towards my future GT2871R plans I bought and fitted a H-Dev recirc valve

    And finally the BIG NEWS

    I've managed to source a GT2871R!

It just happens to be attached to a Tomei Expreme manifold and turbo elbow setup as well! With braided oil and water lines. It also has the APT wastegate mod to eliminate the boost creep issues apparently associated with this turbo. Perfect!

Should arrive with me in the next few days.

Just a few small parts left to get then off for mapping!

Glad you've sorted the turbo mate. You sorted the oil restrictor issue out though?

Well it's been ran on a car just fine as it is so I presume the necessary restrictor (or not) is in there (or not).

The turbo setup arrived yesterday and it looks awesome

Just a few pics, It's all bolted together using nissan gaskets and locking devices so I won't bother stripping it as no point disturbing it!

A big thanks to mitsi_matt for that!

It also come with another 3" downpipe that I'm currently welding a flexi joint into in the hope of preserving my lovely Tomei exhaust components!

    200SX S14a Project

Just found out the actuator is a HKS adjustable unit as well! (Edit: no it wasn't!)

Looking good mate. You may need to get an adaptor for your oil feed though by the looks of it as it hasn't got the standard bango connector on it.

Indeed, Would I just get a double ended threaded connector to screw into the block?

What manifold is that? Very uneven tube lengths there.

Tomei Expreme, it's the same design that the H-Dev manifiold copies and also the same as the standard one.

Equal tube lengths is by no means best. It's to do with the firing order and the pulses going to the turbo.

I changed my diff oil on thursday (this is mainly for my own reference!) and it's taken alot of whining out of the diff at low speeds which is a bonus!

Thanks mate, and no it was no coincidence! it was specifically chosen! my mate took his Evo 4 and was... you guessed it number 4!

On a side note I am no longer going to be fitting that Uras copy rear bumper, fortunately I got hit in the face by the sense stick.

    Update

I've been very busy lately and got loads of updates some are pending daylight pictures however!

I've fitted a sparco circuit VTR bucket seat like so

With some TRS 4 point harnesses like so

Which has completely transformed the car! I bloody love it!

Unfortunately this meant the wheel was miles away and I couldnt really get in and out the car very well

Fortunately it was an easy fix, a few purchases and a few hours later I've just finished putting this lot together

OMP corsica 350mm smooth leather wheel

OMP mounting hub (drilled for indicator cancel)

And all put together with my D1 spec snap off hub!

I'll get proper pictures in the day. I've wired up the horn (can see a 0.015" feeler gauge doing the business just behind the mounting boss!) and fitted a 2.7ohm resistor to trick the airbag system.

Sorted, I just need to take it for spin to see how it feels!
