    S13 SR20 Track Car

    Hello everyone

Just picked up this, been for sale a while apparently but after not having an S13 for many years and having the itch again, a late night eBay browse led to this!

She's tatty body work wise but built from what so far, looks like a rot free she'll. SR20 no VVT with lots of supporting mods

I can't believe how much S13 prices have increased by, this was more than I wanted to spend but seen quite a few very average cars for £3-4K which seem to have rot or dodgy repairs.

Currently has a welded differential which I'm taking off for an LSD as I intend to use the car fairly often and for a Nurburgring trip in September and I hate the way it drives at low speed.

Can't wait to start tidying it up, getting her properly serviced, new rubber, full set up, tidy interior and fit things such as full carpet, new drivers seat (one that slides) and I'm gonna move the wheel back as it's way to close. May tidy up body work, but main job first is to make her drive well and put a smile on my face

Full write up once I've been over her

Vulturing in but... what ratio is the welder - standard S13?

I've sold mine on, but actually think I should have hung onto it. Quite enjoyed how it drove most of the time other than the skipping around at very low speed.

    Good luck with it!

Honestly couldn't tell you, assuming it'll be stamped on the casing?

    Oh great, another track car

I'm just trying to finish building my S14a track car.

Are you putting a cage into the car?

Went out in the car yesterday, must admit that welded dif is quite fun! But it just means on most roundabouts I'm looking for an excuse to get sideways! So I need to behave really

Off to collect a half cage today. Also I've removed the quick release boss from the steering wheel and now the wheel sits 2-3" further away. Next job is bucket seat!

Before fitting all these things though I'm going to remove the two seats and repaint the inside of the car

    Picture update soon

    Cheers

Selling the half cage now, decided to go a bit more substantial and get a custom rear cage fitted. Up date soon!

Also this car is so much fun to drive with the welded diff! In the rain it's sketchy but big grin factor.

    Thank you
Yes she will be very tidy once I've finished. Not a show winner by any means, main object is just a great drivers car (with pop
    Up headlights).

Sneak preview - purpose built rear cage, such a lovely job made, will post pictures this week as I ready the car for Nurburgring, other things changed:

LSD is in with new solid mounts
Old engine mounts and new hard race ones in
Car raises 10mm so it doesn't rub
Oil cooler and radiator properly mounted
Old little battery removed and new full size battery and new battery box fitted
Cigarette lighter now works and boost controller and turbo timer have been fixed in place
Steering wheel made safe with all new bolts
    Power steering rack replaced
    New front ball joints
Lots of bolts checked and made safe

Overall I'm a little apprehensive about the trip but will take it easy on her and fingers crossed. Got a luggage net for the back, spare wheel etc

Also got some sound deadening to fit and interior carpet, just gotta go collect the carpet next week I hope.

    Better pictures soon
