not much of an update but I now own a RB30
Should I, shouldn't I???
I wouldn't if it was me mate, I think the route you've decided on is by far the best for what you want the car to be!
Still interesting to imagine it though...
do not bead blast or shot blast it as it can kill your pannels as it generates heat, ask BREN about what it did to some of his pannels, soda blasting though more expensive is so much better
frost sell a soda blasting kit
Update,
Just had the windscreen and rear window removed
Off to Blasters this week or early next week to be cleaned
Then the action begins
Nice one Dan. Does the shell need much work?
Sweeeeeeeeet, cant wait to see some proper progress on this
Lets hope you have some good metal left
Hurry up!
Has this been blasted yet or what?
I win mine has more rust than yours
Excellent project, can't wait to see how this goes.
All the best with it Dan
Dan! Please finish this one
not yet, was meant to have been picked up yesterday will try for early next week
I will definitively be finishing this one
yea how's it going dan? i'm expecting great things from this!
Well it's back outside ready for collection
Removed the engine:-
I also took that horrid bootlid/spoiler off
Is that after sand blasting??? What did they sand blast
Fork lift truck to move the engine... me and crouchy kept it old school like the car and used bits of wood
Did the blasters actually do anything
Thank god you've got rid of that spoiler
Not thinking about keeping the original engine and tuning that?
