I've seen this car at Slide, the Rust was fairly major, similar stuff wanted doing to the inner wings, as I have just repaired on mine! ..altho think you'rs is a bit worse fella.

Ca86 sounds interesting ! the SR20 only needs 6 wires to work in an s13, so im sure fitting a CA to a 86 should be easy

Plus matt keeps doing engine transplants atm

Yeah the rust is really really bud but Matts a star and sorting out the rust for me.

Yeah the CA into 86 is not to hard at all even the mounts just about line up just need the sub frame slotting a little bit then a hammer on the trans tunnel and its in. unlike the SR which needs the sub frame to be lowered by 40mm and custom mounts making too.

If i use an rb20 gear box with the CA bell housing the gear leave just about makes the stock hole too. There is loads of info on the Oz forums about the swop

the wiring is simply 3 to 4 wires and a fuse and thats it iirc

the ca wiring is pretty much the same as sr. just look through john bennets sr guide for a heads up. that car was painted in my mates bodyshop in brum. im fairly sure those are kennys old wheels off his submarine ae86.

    small world.

yeah it's a small world bud. wiring is the easy part for me its no problem and i know the ca loom well as i made my own once.

The hard part will be the mounts and sorting out what i'm going to do for an intercooler and pipe work.

my rolla has more holes that swiss cheese!! thanks to the rust

Me and Matt at slide motorsport spent the night ripping the corolla apart some more to make it easier to welded up and guess what we found more rust...

so we removed the gearbox, prop and then the clutch & brake servo's/cylinders.... wait untill you see what we are fitting lol

    the brake and fuel lines

    action shot Matt

We took the arches and rear bumper off to find we needed some new wings so the n2 arches are now up for sale if any one is interested

thanks again to Matt at slide motorsport for staying late and helping me crack on with the CAE86. http://www.slidemotorsport.co.uk/

yeah was not much convincing after we took the stock one off. im going to mod it a little and look to fit in behind the drivers seat with a filler cap either in the widow or the quarter panel in front of the rear wheel.

I'm just about all out of cash for now tho so need so sell off all the 4age stuff i have before i can buy the fuel hose pump and the rest of the fittings i need to make it work.

At the min i think matt will end up finishing the welding and dropping the car back off with me so i can crack on with the wiring if nothing more when hes on holiday and then will go from there i think.

some more parts turned up today

External FSE Walbro 280LPH pump and mount kit

My mini intercooler (thats a size 10 to show how small it is ) i dont ever plan on going over 300hp so this cooler should be fine and suit a nice v mount setup too
