Another thicky question, when you're machining the bellhousing you're basically taking off the same thickness as the adaptor plate, correct?

Yup
Just to reiterate how good this conversion is. Been running mine now for over a year with no issues whatsoever. Ratios are perfect with the standard S14a diff.
But it's so expensive! I had a quick look at the 350Z boxs and they were like £1500!
They come up cheaper, but ones that are under 1k are getting hard to find. They have gained the same status as R154s and V160s with a price tag to match.
Both of mine was 450 quid? Confused?
The one is the 009 but the other is earlier but has a upgrade kit fitted wether it works I dont know.
the only thing that worries me is the shifter is in the wrong place. On my v8 one I got rid of the push down bit to a button to allow reverse. So it can be even shorter without the 2 universals
Yeah, shortest kit I know is gktech and that loses the reverse lockout
I'm on the lookout for a good Z33 box so if anyone has one PM me please.
Good luck changing a starter motor with the above linked plate
The one im using, available from Greg @ Protuner
Hold out for a CD009 box too. I waited a while, and then one popped up on here for a very nice price.
There's also 2 routes you can do down in regards to the shifter and gearbox mount. Either custom made or down the Mazworx Shifter and Collins mount like I have
