It takes a while to develop, but you have to watch pretty closely to pick up some of the visual clues as to what might be going on and it does involve quite a bit of thought if you want to get anything out of it

Watched it straight after Taken on Thursday, bit of a change of pace n stuff between the two

    Also for cinema.

Paul - Is an unbelieveably EPIC film
    True Grit - Wow
True Grit is great, completely lacks the cynicism, moralising and all the other crap that you realise all modern films are drenched in.

The Fighter is really good as well, you think Christian Bale's performance is completely over the top but if you stay till the credits you realise it is spot on.

Totally agree with true grit, even down to the vocab - There are no "Dont's" or "Let's" which are all rather modern shortenings of these words I noticed it the second time round

The fighter I thought was going to be so so - Definitely mistaken

Bale really commits to a role! he almost looked like he did in the machinist! Lost all his muscle mass and bulk!

    Fair play to the guy

The girl wqith the dragon tatoo is awesome

The girl who played with fire is so so, not as good as the first

Gonna watch the girl who kicked the hornets nest the third coming of the saga.

lol, not at all, the girl with a dragon tattoo was a big sweedish hit, and I loved it. The sequals all begin with 'the girl', dunno why.

I watched K-PAX yesterday, good film.

Theres a second film to this (neither a sequel or connected) called 'City of Men', its not as good as the first but worth watching if you enjoyed it

It wasnt a film, it was the spin off tv series released shortly after the full length movie.

I watched Amelie for the first time a couple of weeks ago. If you do not mind subtitles it is superb. The genre you would probably put it in is alternative romantic comedy. Hollywood rom coms and UK ones just make me want to die. Amelie is an awesome film, starting to get more into foreign films as I have more or less given up on american ones, with the exception of the Coen brothers and the odd other one. Jamon Jamon is ok too for a spanish film, worth watching for a young Penelope Cruz getting her t1ts sucked.

i didnt true grit was all that to be honest, nor Paul, it doesnt come to close to hot fuzz or Shaun of the dead, i couple i have enjoyed recently:

Ninja Assassin - title says it all tbh, awesome film though
the Horde - french zombie thriller which is actually on par with Romeros early stuff imho
Kings speech - wasnt looking forward to this, but it was actually really good, would definitely recommend
Sorcerers Apprentice - kids film i suppose but i really enjoyed it
