    Who regrets selling/breaking their 200SX/Silvia

I have one regret in life which is selling my Silvia. Especially seeing as Nick who bought it from me drove it into a wall, "repaired" it, stripped it and turned it into a primer grey hovercraft

    From this....

    To this....

    To this....

Anyone know where it is now?

Don't regret selling my S14a, but I'd had that for 7 years by the time I sold it which is a long time to own a car.

I don't 'regret' selling mine as i needed to for money reasons, and I'm glad I don't have the fuel/insurance bills at the mo but, I do miss it

Got sold a little while back Rude

Not sure "regret" is the right word - I did what I had to do; financially times were rough.

However, I do sort of regret the lives both of mine had after my ownership - one ended up wrapped round a lamp post in a matter of weeks and the other ended up being drifted into an early grave when it was a good solid base car.

I regret selling my first one. Especially as the buyer ended up shelving it on grass for a year which destroyed the chassis It was as close to rust-free as a UK S13 could be when I sold it, just a minor misfire issue. Only sold as I was made redundant. It was sold on again and is now scrapped

I'm not selling this one though. Not unless things get really bad.

I am already comitted to the fact that I'll break mine to reclaim as much cash as possile. And I'm not looking forward to it.

That said, I'm not building mine with it's end of life in mind. I'm doing what I want to make it my car, and then I'll deal with the consequences when I strip it.

I don't regret selling it. It was the right time to get rid - it had milked my bank account and was probably going to cost more in the future.

I do miss it though, and wonder how it is getting on in the hands of the young lad I sold it to.

I only regret the amount of money i pumped into it to then sell it when i got made redundant and needed funds. If i knew that was going to happen i would of taken the risk and got a ready modified one.I will have one again though as soon as i get a place with a drive and just use it for track days etc there awesome cars and mine never broke in the 30k i did in it tuned and will never forget all the 'look at that skyline' as i used to drive though town!!!!!

O/T is there a way of finding out if your old car is still 'alive'?

Can check the MID - if not insured then chances are it's had an unfortunate incident

It was a savage car and would easily keep up with a UK S13 CA18DET up to about a ton at which point it ran out of breath. Had a lot of work done to the engine, upgraded ECU, Short ratio box etc, etc. Best car i've ever owned. He sold it for more than he paid for it, even in that "state". I sold it for £3250. Don't forget as well it was a rust free car!
