    Is this a garrett 2871R?

    Hi all

Buyin a turbo and this is the numbers on the serial plate
    Garrett Japan
    IG 0107J
    GT S
    472560-14
I've seen some listings as a 2871R but others say its a HKS GTSS. its got garrett stamped all over it but a HKS actuator?
    Any ideas anyone?

    THanks

I´m not so sure its a GT2871R, the HKS GT-SS looks the same and the numbers you post also mention 'GTS' Here is a picture of a HKS GT-SS

hks gt-ss would have a HKS embosed front cover and exhaust housing..

the -14 of the part number indicates that it was factory supplied with actuator iirc

The Garrett GT2871R 52trim is with -15 at the end, all the GT2871R with a different number at the end are the other trim versions, these that not bolt straight on.
Not all HKS turbo's have HKS stamped on it, look at the link that i posted from the HKS GT-SS from RHDJapan

Count the number of fins... its a hks turbo (made by garrett...) equivalent to a gt2871... but has a few more fins iirc...
