I believe the appropriate word to use at this juncture is "WANT"

I think they've learned their lesson and judging by the fact that it's in simultaneous development for the 360 and PS3, I suspect it will run just fine on most PCs .

What am I saying, of course it won't run on most PCs. It will be another 2-3 years before the hardware catches up and runs it in all it's glory . Have to say though, the original Crysis still looks better than almost every other game produced since it was released

The original crysis batters the crap out of everything ever released graphics wise on the PC, especially when you tweak it.
And i actually enjoyed the gameplay although lots didnt.
    Gonna need a bigger pc

3 years if we're lucky. What they haven't shown is the server farm they have running the game in the background for the video

My desktop needs an upgrade anyway. Still sporting an OCd E6300 c2d from some years ago and a cheap gfx card after my 8800gtx crapped itself and melted half the solder

I built my current home pc (Qx9650 and crossfire 4870s) to play the first crysis properly, it brought it to its knee's and i couldnt have made it much more powerful.
Gonna need some bits, got to start with the video system, 4870s with half a gig of ram on them are pony these days, crysis 2 will rip them apart then poo out the little bits left while laughing.

Just hold fire till its out first. As you know it will prob run far better on one variation or brand then others, so you will have to just get 20 of them and rig them up in some kind of homebrew raid crossfire system.

I'll wait and see what it does to my Core i5-760 with 4GB of DDR3-1600 RAM and Radeon 5870. If that won't run it then I give up .

Hmm get one the now to replace my 2 4870s and then a second one when crysis appears
Add a bit of an overclock for near 6970/GT 580 performance on each one and bobs your uncle - it will run crysis... er ok need bigger processor - where is the 'dozer

Isn't the new one supposed to have lower system requirements than the original?

Crysis Warhead had slightly lower requirements and this is supposed to be more efficient again.

Yeah it is supposed to have lower requirements, but lets be honest ... its still going to need a monster spec box to do it proper justice and not a 3yr old mid range pc with intel on board gibberish video
