    Enough hype,just let me play this awesome looking and hopefully awesome playinggame.More Elder Scrolls than Oblivion in depth would be a huge bonus but even if it stays at the level of Oblivion with an engroseing story i will be more than happy.I still play ES after all these years as it is still head and shoulders ubove anything else this genre has produced,although it looks its age now.Please Bethesda dont play down to the console kids and give us a game to redifine the genre again

    Never heard of this until now I actually saw Oblivion in Game last week but didnt get it as i had never heard of it and assumed it must be shit

    I don't know whether to be excited about this or not... A lot of the clips look pretty awesome but I didn't get into Oblivion or Fallout 3 really, hoping they've made this more friendly to someone who isn't really a massive RPG fan?

    I found Oblivion one of the best games Iv ever played, fallout was equally as good, Bethesda softworks do amazing things, havent played Rage so cant comment on that but skyrim is definitely going in my collection. Might actually get oblivion out now and have a go lol

    To be honest it's talking to people in games that gets on my nerves so as long as that's kept to a minimum (think Deus Ex:HR was about my limit), then I might actually like it...

    If you watch the clip with the head developer in it he does mention that they're not makin the social interaction a necessity. You don't HAVE to talk to everyone and everything if you don't want to.

    That isn't to say there'll be a large amount of talking for questing/storyline purposes, just that if you just want to go exploring and killing things you can.

    You can switch, its entirely up to you.

    I found it prettier to run around in 3rd person on the map, but easier to combat in 1st person (bows/magic targetting etc).

    Dont think I have ever come across that in a game before its like driving games so you can choose the view, I think its an excellent idea and more should do it

    I don't mind talking if it furthers the story or gives me information that I need to do a mission, it's just inconsequential waffling for the sake of showing off some s****y AI system that annoys me

    I won't be going off and randomly killing stuff because I like to have a purpose when moving around in a game, if I discover cool stuff on the way then that is of course a bonus
