Loads of seem to have ditched OEM slam panels etc and welded in nice sturdy pieces of tube and such like up front. To protect I/Cs & Rads in a smash.

I just dont understand why people feel they have to get an RB/JZ/LS thrown in, in some cases before theyve even driven or bought a car. Id love a 6 cylinder 200SX, and fair play to you for doing it, but personally I couldnt justify the time and expense particularly when youve already got a perfectly good SR sat up front
    Half the fun is building

    And they sound nice

*I'd go for a 1JZ in this, and a gearbox conversion, not a rape R154 etc...

so eventually at midnight the 350 turned up at the garage, couldnt be arsed to play with it last night so went straight home.

just had an hour on it and im fairly happy, no rust compared to 200's, whipped the o/s/f wing off and theres no damage what so ever underneath it. also took the roof lining out and bashed the roof with my hand abit more.

if i hadnt of lost my phone on friday id stick some more pictures up

plan is to do some paying work then crack on stripping it this week, there looks to be soooo much un needed weight bolted on everywhere, ecu's, looms, shit braces, etc etc it'l be goodbye to that lot!

theres loads more on them than the 200's, and its stuck on properly so you very rarely get them nice big chunks off.

Ah but thats the thing, my SR had blown up, i figured i could pop another one in but theres a chance it could go again, and as a fresh graduate i didnt have the money to run the thing really so just took it off the road. Then i looked at the numbers and for the value added to the car and subtracting the value of parts sold the 1JZ looked like a decent route to take plus mega reliability.

Ive also done alot of the stuff myself, well, everything so far except a couple of fabricated parts. And yeah as people have said 1jz is a bit expensive but if you shop around there are bargains to be had as with anything. Check my build thread anyway, its gone all quiet even with the addition of videos!!

not done as much as i wanted to by now due to lack of time and too much alcohol...

but had a few hours on it yesterday stripping the inside more, sound deadening is mostly removed, still got about a million spot welds to drill out to remove all the pointless brackets etc.

i'll hopefully have another few hours on it later in the week and stick some pictures up

shit progress, not alot to see but here's a quick photo of where its been sat for the past few weeks.

main reasons for slow progress is too much work at the garage and also everything that ive done so far is sooooo time consuming e.g removing every bit of sound deadening and drilling a million spot welds out to remove all the unneccasary shit!

i like them so much now ive gone and bought another as my daily now
