timescale for the drift zed has changed, original plan was to get it done for end of march at the latest, giving me a month ish of testing then do the full season of bdc. as im stacked out at the garage ive just had to put it on the back burner, the next target i set was may when a group of us are going to the nurburgring, now ive got the daily zed i mite just take that now sooooo, the final deadline is awesomefest end of july

the other problem is im going to egypt in march and ibiza in july so theres always the other issue on money unfortunatly it aint unlimited

basically what im saying is i aint getting in debt for a stupid balls out drift car, one day tho it will be awesome!!!!

very small update for a change...

needs a few more gussets finishing off, then tying in the shell in as many places as possible.

its getting there tho, gives me abit of motivation again only to be knocked back by no time to do anything as per usual.

cheers for that but i havent got a 350 engine for it anyway. i dont no why but thats the only engine im certain about not using, not because i dislike it, just because i want it to have something different in, i thinki i just like making more work for myself.

another very small update, went drifting today in a friends car so that spurred me on to have an hour on it when i got home
didnt really do alot but most of the engine bay is now stripped, it went from this...

    to this...

still doing more research on it but its looking like the engine choice is going to be a 2.8 engine out of a bmw e36 with a turbo bolted on for somewhere in the region of 5-600bhp.

like i say, still researching but seems to be a decent comprimise between power/reliability and cost. nothings set in stone tho

bmw engine would be cheap and fun enough and why not !

Could go for an m3 evo engine, 300 odd brake and should shift !

Anyway, need to get your shell sorted !

Source a VQ30DET from Japland from a Y34 Cima They come with an auto box in the Y34, no manual option for the engine. 350z box can be mated up with a bit of work. I can't remember the exact problem there is which means they don't go straight up. Or get a 300ZX/RB box, they are a similar level of effort to make them work.

500whp on standard internals, same mounts as the VQ35DE, bit of exhaust and gearbox shenanigans and a GT35 and you're away. Plus it's pretty much the same dimensions as a VQ35DE so you retain the weight dist too. Sounds good, ridiculous amounts of torque and unique too. Over here anyway.

Desperately would like one to slot into a 13, just don't have the money to undertake such a job. Would be utterly awesome.
