    Trade insurance and modified cars

I'm after a quick bit of advice please.

I've potentially got someone interested in coming to see my S14 and I told him as he won't be insured on it I'll have to do the test drive (it'd be just my luck that he'd stove into a local Ferrari or something and be uninsured).

He says he has "full trade insurance" so should be fine. Is that likely to cover driving modified cars or only standard ones?

I don't want to be too paranoid and make him jump through a billion hoops but I also want my arse covered in the case of an incident!

    Thanks

    Dave

Not the case, if it's in the care custody or control of the motor trader. Also not the case that they'd only pay for a "standard" replacement, since it's Dave's vehicle and not the traders.

Just make sure he brings his policy certificate to show you as anyone can claim to be a trader

Indeed, anyone can say, "I've got trade insurance me!" Best to check he really has BEFORE he stoves into that Ferrari
