    Which would you have then??

Following on from the thread about the RS500 I was curious as to which Iconic cars folks would have in their dream garage. Now I would be here all day if I was to list all of mine (I'd be like jay leno if I had the monies) but lets limit it to top three, as in the three you HAD to have. Money is no object...anything goes

Right here goes then....in no particular order

The Drag R was owned by a mate of mine and is a total animal

After the first balls up, These are my choices for this precise moment but can change in a few seconds lol.

    S1 Evolution 2

    Andy Burtons cosworth 306

    Lancia 037

If no one knows the 037 google it. Was built to rival the rs200 very similar, even down to the clam shell body and rear mount engine.

    MK1 lotus cortina

Last but not least Mr Hopkirk himself and the winner of the monte carlo rally 1964

Can't do 3, not possible, it's like asking anyone who's properly into music to name their top 3 albums.
Reckon i could maybe shortlist 10?!

I know....I'm the same but I thought ten would make it a very long thread, especially if were adding pics too (which are needed IMO) so I narrowed it down to the three that popped into my head first

How about 5 then and I'll edit my first post?

All I can tell you is that a decent 16v Delta is a proper, proper drivers car and a real weapon on the right road. I'd love one, I think I possibly missed my mate's one more than he ever did

Does this have to be ancient crap from the 80s, i dont really give much of a stuff about quattros and lancia's - they do precisely zero for me.
Same with alfas, just not interested.

    However
I would be partial to a nice mint unmodified escort cos, and a mk1 escort in minted knick.
Lotus Carlton - yeah i like that, had a good sniff around one for sale away back a few years ago, was up for silly cash though.
Bit more modern and jap, well the R34 and of course the new GTR. The r33 - meh never liked it, always seemed to fat compared to the great skyline r32 gtr.

Nowt French really, clio 172 if it was unragged and thats about it.
German - e30 m3, 190e evo and of course the e39 m5 and thats about it from there.
Nowt Italian as i said above (i like my cars to work)
    No scoobys or evos...

    '76 Skyline GTR

    '60s Ferrari 250 GTO

Yup. The 8C makes me go so weak I can't bear to get out of bed in the morning knowing I'd never own one

It is a nice looking car, hmm ok my garage would have one to sit at the side of it like a dolled up tart holding the drinks at a posh wedding or function.

That would be a nice car if it wasn't for the awkward Alfa triangle grille at the front, it just ruins it for me. Maybe it looks better in person.
