I used to read loads when i was young but havent read much at all over the last 10 years...
Last book i read was Chris Moyles autobiography, and i loved it couldnt put it down. Also have all the Jeremy Clarkson books with his colums in, they are good as well.
I like books I can relate to or have a bit of an understanding to already, i prefer factual, but i am open to anything really.
So any suggestions?

Stephen Hawkings new book should be a good read, going to get it next month i think.
Richard Branson's autobiography is a good read. Interesting to see Virgin's beginnings (I lol'd about the Sex Pistols album) and how it developed into the multinational conglomerate it is now.
Moyles autobiography is the second worst book Ive read recently, closely following his second book.
If you like autobiogs, then Parkies one is awesome, and funnily enough my next fave was Hitman Brett Harts - very well written and honest. Chris Evan's show what Moyles books could have been like if he had any talent and ewasnt a self obsessed tosspot.
Other than that, Im enjoying Jo Nesbo and Ian Rankin atm, everyone needs to read the Millenium Trilogy by Stiegg Larsson, and I recommend Ben Elton's novels to everyone.

If you're interested in WW2 (lets face it, what lad isn't??) then I would recommend "First Light" by Geoffrey Wellum. It's about how he joined the RAF at 17 and became a Spitfire pilot. I'm about half way through it and it's bloody brilliant!

Cleverly written by both him and Danny Wallace. The only book to make me consistently laugh out loud! (Yeah, I've seen his TV show about this but as always, the book is better!)
If its factual books that you enjoy the most I would thouroughly recommend Ewan McGregor/Charlie Bormans "the long way down". Really enjoyed this book, if you've seen the series then you can relate to it, however its not necessary.
Guessing Long way around is good too but havent read that one.
Also, a mate of mine has mentioned that "band of brothers" was made into a book too, which is one on my list of books to read

Lions Game by Nelson DeMille
For a bit of Sci-fi try the Saga of the Seven Suns by Kevin J Anderson. Its a 7 book series and is pretty epic.
Life of Pi by Yan Martel. Probably the best book i've ever read.
Jaws is great as is American Psycho.

Anything by Dave Gorman, "Dave Gorman's Googlewhack Adventure" is terrifically hilarious after reading "are you Dave Gorman?". Danny Wallace has also written some marvellous books like "join me" and "yes man".
Terry Pratchett is fantastic, for his Discworld series you are best not to start with the first one (the colour of magic), but instead start with "Mort" as the best introduction to the series. Definitely light relief and escapism at it's best
Bill Bryson's books are also dryly funny.

Just bought Stephen Frenchs book the Devil hes a liverpool gangster , spent a bit of time with him recently so will be an interesting read!!
