Today I took the car out for this first time this year, she fired with no issues but I disconnect the battery anyways.

Really looking forward to some shows and the Weekender now

The car needs alignment, new oil & filter, fuel filter & tyres fairly soon. I've not got round to derusting the battery tray yet, I had a look & its just surface rust so no worries right now, I've added that to my to do list for the summer.

I'd like to get a few bits sprayed but will see how it goes.

Project Stealth Machine a.k.a The Blackbird

First drive of 2018, thought it'd be rude not to stop & mark the occasion with a few phone pics along the way.

    Coilovers are nicely settled

Car looks fantastic mate, how are the coilovers now? Make the car more enjoyable on the road? I've got some comfies to go on mine soon as I'm running 10/8 hsd's currently.

    Thanks mate

The car is way nicer to be in now, feels more drivable but the previous hsd's didn't ever throw me of course due to bumps. Feels like it should have been to being with, at this height I do get some rubbing over bigger bumps though, more suspension travel with the softer springs for sure.

    No regrets though

    Hello,

How's the underbody rust treatment going?
Are you planing on doing the £50 yearly check and top-ups?

I've booked mine in at the same place for a 2-3 months time. I mailed them the other day and they had just 5 slots left this year, 4 (or less) now.

sorry for the really late reply, have neglected this thread a bit.

the rust treatment went really well, I've had a look under there at the last mot and it looked really good still, I missed the yearly top up as it doesn't go out in the wet if I can help it and also gets garaged over the winters. I'll speak to them about a check this summer coming though just to make sure all's well.

Have you had your car done with them yet?

The garage I was at has existed since 1860, dealing with horse drawn carriages until 1915 when they started maintenance of motorised Hackney carriages
