This might be a stoopid question, but do the BitChar-G things some with all the radio equipment you need, or do you have to have your own controller already?

Do they come with the charger you need for their '45 second charges', or is this extra?

I'm confused about the 'Race Tins' - you seem to get a 1/16 fully operational car for less than the 1/64 BitChar-Gs? Some friends got me a 10" long James Bond Aston for Xmas last year - it was a bit slow and the AAs run down quickly. (Cool drifting on a wet corridor though ). Is this similar to how the Race Tin cars will be?

Aaaaaaarrrggghh 1/32 as well - too much choice

Which are the most fun? I wanna get me one for me and get one for a mate for his birthday. Just to race & piss around with from time to time, and give the cat some exercise, when I finally get him

    Cheers

The Bit Char-G's come with everthing you need to run the cars, except 2 AA batteries that go into the controller.

The charger is built into the controller, all you do is plug the car into this and it charges in 45 seconds. This then give you about 2 mins driving time.

The reason for the price difference is the Tomy make the Bit Char-G's so the prices are quite high, they also have very small components (the motors are the same ones that make you phone vibrate) and these are more expensive than the larger parts used in the Race Tins.

Without seeing that car it's hard to tell, but it sounds like the race tins are a bit smaller and the batteries do lasy quite a while (2 AA's in the car and 2 in the controller). If you are a bit of a speed demon and you find it too slow you can always change the gearing/motors to make it quicker.

They are all good fun, the scale you choose depends on the amount of space you have. For indoors the tins are probably the best.

If you decide you want 2, give me a shout and I'll check what frequencies I have. I'll also do a good discount for sales from SXOC

    Cheers

    - is the 1/32 Mini also a 'Race Tin' car? It's just the pictures difrerent on your site... and I don't want my mate's Mini to beat my car

    - Is that a Silvia s15?

    - Got any links for places I can mod my car?

    Cheers Bren, nice one.

The only S14s I have found so far are the Initial D ones, and they're not that great. I am gonna keep searching though.

How did you get on with the cars?

    Cheers

Just got mine from NikB, had a few issues which I think were caused by the delivery but other wise it's sweet.

Shame the damn thing grips so well to the carpet!! Just wait till I get it on the kitchen lino
