    AZ's S14.. well, JZS14 Aristo

Yes, I sold my S13. Which made me sad.. But I thought it was time to move on, I was kind of interested in VIP cars without wanting to own one.
-5 camber and bags are nothing I'd go for.
But having a sedan with loads of power in a car that looks like your every day family carrier was a nice idee.
As I had a look at japanese auctions I found the Toyota Aristo, which caught my eye with its looks and caught my heart as I found out that its powered by the legendary 2JZ GTE. And it even had this engine before it has been thrown into the MK4 Supra.

First step was buying a daily, I found a 320i, which was a bargain considering how well it was treatened.
It looks like a bit like this with uglier rims:

I registered on the aristoclub.net and jzs14.com.au for more informations and met 2 german aristo owners. Which are like the only people in Germany owning one.

After several weeks I got the offer to buy one of these Aristos that are already imported and MOT'd (TÜV). After having a look at the car and test driving it, I bought it the same day and drove it home.
I was shocked that the engine is such a monster! As the weight is similiar to the supra, I thought it may be a bit too heavy and won't accelerate that hard.
Sadly it became obvious that there was coolant leaking. So its off to a garage to swap the old turbo lines for new ones.

    Facts are:
    1992 Aristo,
    100.000 km,
    all services just done,
    front suspension has been refurbed,
stock hifi system with subwoofer and cd changer,
    16" ugly Lexus rims,
    Blitz ECU with FCD,
    ARC LLK,
    KYB suspension,
LEDs all over the place (white ones)..

As this thread would be worthless without pics, here are some fast ones I took after it arrived at my place.

    The Lexus will get:
    - black grill
    - tinted windows
    - black Veilsides (10x18 ET22 and 11x18 ET9)
    - HKS silent HiPower catback (dual mufflers)
    - remaining BPU upgrades as Walbro and boost controller for 400 BHP or close to that
    - perhaps its getting slammed with TEIN or HSD coilies..

    Nice

I am liking these VIP cars more and more!

What is that age of aristo's other name? ( I swear that over here they are sold as a GS something)

EDIT: just saw on another thread, its a GS300

Exactly, the Lexus counterpart is named GS300.
They do not differ that much, except for the engines.

The Aristo has the 2JZ GTE, the GS300 the 2JZ GE or the 1UZ (AWD).

I am just aiming for the BPU mods and making the car a bit prettier

Some things never change.. after selling the Datsun and buying the Aristo, I was happy that the 2JZ GTE may be in a better condition. But until now it has been losing fluids like a bunch of 90 year olds.
Power steering failed, water hose exploded.. brake fluid decided to leave the car to continue its life somewhere else.. and now its oil.
Luckily I ran into someone who will help me fix the remaining problems (motor oil that is).

And the rear tires arrived, so finally I got a teaser on how it will look with the Veilsides.

    Its been a while!
After spending some cash on new gaskets and some parts, I decided that I should start with what will determine the cars look...
Most people will look away in disgust, but I tend to be not interested in other peoples taste

I added a HKS hipower silent and failed recording a soundfile:

I took some days off, and off we went...
This is how it started, my GF tested the colour with a little help of a Ford Probe..

    More pictures coming soon!

Hours of preparing, with a little help from my friends:

One hour of painting for each layer (two are imho enough), this is how it looks after the paint is dry enough to DD it again

    It's been awhile..
Lug nuts are Vision ones, but dont expect them to look that shiny very long..

Car is painted, Tein flex'd and the Veilsides are making me happier everyday.

    Next stop: BPU
    Hope you like! Me does

As it needs new TÜV (MOT) in january, I ll replace the worn bushes on the rear axle.
Hopefully I ll be able to get a decat, restrictor ring and fuel pump afterwards, so I ll be able to run a nice BPU setup. Thats what the Blitz ECU is made for, should be good for 400bhp-ish.

To be honest I dont have that big plans, just working on stuff that went after all the years of its life.
I'd like to go for S14 seats, as the stock ones are comfy but I'd like to have more room!

It has got its own will and needs to be fed with ROZ100, kittens, 10w40 and puppies.

It hasn't always been this way, guess this was the day it decided to become a supervillain:

And yes, I have been there with the SXCE.de because of the NURMEET.
Where did you see me? At the Brunnchen or at the entry?

I was looking for a place to park.. Or you saw me leaving for the "Brunnchen", where most of the SX-drivers met.

Where you there with your S13? Just saw Steve Sadler close to the gates, and lots of really nice cars... like a Glanza
