Debrittled?! Didn't even know that was a issue? What's involved in the process?
Finally started to put the rear handbrake mech back together. Works now that I am using parts from the S13 setup too.
Also went down to Nissan and got some of this stuff.
£96 Liquid Gold
96quid
how much do you get in that bottle - 5 litres?
4 litres
thats an absolute pisstake.......i'm pretty speechless tbh, its standard gear oil.........
Nice work there fella. I admire the commitment to Nissan quality products as its meant to be the best choice, but for ni-on £100 your over half way to a complete gearbox rebuild kit...ouch!
The way that I look at it, I was going to be spending ~ £25/ litre on oil anyway so I might as well spend the same amount of money and get stuff that I know is designed for the diff.
I will be using cheaper oil to run the diff in as it will only be in there for 30-40 minutes
show me more pics!!!! quick!!!!
brilliant work! far better than new too ha

Handbrake mech on, disc on and drive shaft fitted to O/S
Over the weekend I will be doing the same to the N/S and getting some split pins for the lower arms
You are making a real nice job

Update 17/4/11
Subframe Back on...
nice progress mate, looks lovely. how on earth did you manage to get the fully assembled subframe back up into position though - thing weighs a ton
Thats what i was thinking, i can barely lift up the Diff
you have to balance the hole thing on a jack, put the jack towards the back and centre of the diff and lift it up giving it a good few wiggles to locate it. thats how i did it anyway
Really really awesome project here
Everything has been done thoroughly and properly, I like it
