nistune fitted nats removed now goes into limp home mode?

I have recently had my car mapped (fitted with nistune) , the nats system removed and a clifford alarm fitted , now and again it goes into limp home mode when i first start it up , i was told this was a problem with the software (something to do with australian cars not having nats and the software being australian) and it can be fixed by reinstalling the nats i have no reason to doubt this as it was fitted by a well known tuner. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it or does it have to go back to the tuner.

    cheers dan

this is a problem with the flash for the nistune board for the JDM s14a non nats file... it did the same thing on a car i did recently whilst trying to use a nats ecu on a non nats car..

why remove the nats in the first place.. only takes a second with a keysync

Sorry to hijack this, but i've been thinking about Nistune for my own car recently, however a previous owner removed the NATS alarm system. It's a UK S14, but I think its the later one with the different ecu connector (1996).

Would that mean i'd have issues running Nistune?

nothing wrong with clifford mate theres just a lot of installers who dont have a clue how to fit them properly.

will take it back and have the nats unit refitted along side the clifford

Its not rocket science and no different to any other alarm The warrenty returns on Cliffords is insane and i know at least one installer who stopped fitting them as too many people kept coming back complaining I have also lost a car with a Clifford on and I know a mate who had his rear screen cut out and all his stereo nicked and the alarm didnt even go off

Utter shit IMO and only sold loads due to clever marketing with all the fancy add ons like remote start

Back to the old Clifford bashing lol

My mate said bla bla bla

Installation is the key to any alarm installation, Monkey is as monkey does im afraid.

They did go through a bad time and as a result the parent company went bankrupt. Since G5 they have been under new management and im not aware of any more issues with the G5 and over kit than there are with other manufacturers ?

Not had any issues with my intelliguard and no i dont have the insurance invalidating remote start function

Didnt realise they was under new ownership I am talking 'back in the day' i guess with the Concept 500's and Eagle 2's. If the quality has improved then fair enough but I personally would never trust another one

Yeah they have a mountain to climb to gain reputation. You are not alone with thinking they are the same old company knocking out duff alarms.

Directed, the current owners. Are large enough to sort that out though and some of the other companies in their portfolio are massive in the US and UK.
