Get it - it's not like you have to pay for it unless you want to play online

Boo...hiss....this is a proper game unlike half the stuff thats been released recently, so it was worth the monies I paid I think I know I will get more than £35 worth of enjoyment out of it lol...

Anyways I think I am nearing the end of the Terrans missions...thats if it is like the old where the missions are split between races...if not looks like I got a whole of a long way to go lol...awesome

I never said I didn't pay for it, I was just saying

TBH I think people will be more inclined to pay for PC games when they stop releasing them with a requirement to be connected to the internet in order to play the single player campaign against the bloody computer

But seriously, WTF is the point? What if I wanted to play it on my laptop on the train or something?

Is it better than SC2? I was completely disappointed with that. Utterly weak.
By SC2, I mean Supreme Commander 2, not...Star Craft 2. Just in case.

This is good. Now I have somebody to blame if I think its pants.
Single player in SC2 only had 18 missions, total, also.

Edit: Just finished the campaign on starcraft 2. Infinitely better than Supreme Commander 2.

So, has anyone completed the single player campaign on this having taken out the Nydus worms as opposed to the flyers on the final mission? I tried doing it this way (on hard, mind) and it was bloody impossible.

Went back and took out the flyers instead and managed it at the first attempt

Roll on Heart of the Swarm

    I did the flyers, too.
What happens if you take out the Nydus worms?
The final, final mission is mental, either way, at a guess?

Well firstly you get tons of Mutalisks and Brood Lords coming at your base from all sides (including behind!) so it makes it really difficult to set up a defensive perimiter, and secondly you have to deal with that bloody great Leviathan thing that attacks you when you take the platforms down.

The most annoying thing (apart from the Leviaithan) was that the Brood Lords can sit outside the range of your air defences and throw little critters at you, which while not annoying on its own, kept on causing my siege tanks to blow my bunkers up

I must have tried maybe 20 times to do it with the flyers and failed... I went back and did with it with the Nydus Worms and did it comfortably on my first attempt

Nydus worms, the zerg come out too slowly if you cover your ground with troops

Just did it with the flyers, was bloody close though. Just loads and loads of Marines and bunkers are what you need, plus a few Vikings/Battlecruisers to deal with the Leviathan.

I had three barracks constantly building Marines though, it's great when you can just throw them away and you always have more to follow

I started playing WoL just before Christmas as I was bought it as a wedding gift and really enjoyed the single player campaign, I believe I did the Nydus worm mission but not 100% sure, may give it another full playthrough on a harder difficulty before I buy HoTS. The guy I work with plays at quite a high level online and that was the main reason I went for it (it was his gift btw) and I'm currently sat in high Silver position in the league.

Does anyone on here still play online?
