It needs someone very good at TIG to do it without warping the shaft - I've got a howto guide somewhere that has some recommendations...

Anything you'd be able to do, or know someone that could - don't think it's more than half an hours work or so?

I dont do the TIG welding, i get a friend to do it, same guy who makes the rb box conversion plates for me, he's really handy with the tig, and dont charge the earth

Hi Polo, was wondering if you'd be able to source some auto to manual conversion parts for me?
    I need:
    -Front half of prop
-clutch cover bolts (preferebly new if possible)
    -Clutch pedal assembly
    -Gearbox bolts (and/or starter bolts?)
-That rubber boot that screws to the inside of the trans tunnel
-S14a speed sensor (your probably the best person to ask hope you've got one left )

-brake pedal assembly?, when people say just cut the brake pedal down im assuming they just mean make it narrower? is that right, in which case i'll do that.

EDIT - metal gasket for between block and gearbox

Parts i already have (incase i've forgotten something):

    Gearbox
    flywheel + new bolts
    Clutch + spigot +release bearing
    manual cross member
    Gearbox mount
Master cylinder + slave +braided line
    Gearstick surround trim
    gearstick boot

How much do you reckon that lot will cost posted to NE40 4XL
    Thanks alot!

Reckon you could give a rough price on a couple of jobs?

First adding a flexi section in my downpipe/elbow inplace of the 3 bolt flange, can you supply the flexi part (or at least point me towards a good quality one)?

Secondly, notching the chassis rails for camber arm clearance. I flush mounted the rear subframe and now theres a fair bit of contact something like this is all thats needed-

If you could let me know a ballpark figure for each of those jobs that would be great

    Hi Matt,

To mod the chassis your looking at 2.5 hours £100.
For the exhaust, itl be just one hour at £40 if that + the price of the flexi, iv not found any where that sells good flowing 3" flexi's yet, bet you can get them.

cool, I'll give you a call tomorrow to confirm it all then

Is the WIM price inclusive of adjustments? My local alignment place adds something daft like £5 per adjustment

Another thing i forgot is the metal gasket that goes between the block and gearbox. (i'll add it to the earlier post)

    Hi Polo,

I'm not quite at the stage of getting an RB box conversion done for my S15 but it's deffo on the cards for early next year Can you please quote me your cost for getting the whole lot done? I'd obviously drop my car off at your place etc.

When I called Garage-D I was told the following were needed:

    RB 5 speed box
Your adaptor plate for S15 bell housing will do nicely
    Custom cross member
RB box end prop welded onto S15 diff end prop
    Balancing of new prop
    Start motor fitment?
Your adaptor for gearstick so it sits in the correct place inside console

Is all that is required above plus labour costs etc?

    Cheers,

    James

Edit: would you be able to source all the parts needed yourself?
