nicely done, I can imagine the steel is quite thin on the rear bins, I've been welding my shell up for bloody ages, not impressed with it to be honest, Dont think i'll buy a uk s13 again, if i do go for a uk shell it may have to for a 14a, fed up of restoring rather than building !

same here mate, i picked a stinker really as the sils + floorpan are shagged too... but oh well, weldings cheap if you do it yourself... just time consuming im also having manifold gasket issues, after buying an uprated it still leaks, but im fed up of taking the turbs off! DOH

just a sneak peak of whats too come, changing the clutch soon as it slips on full boost and a tad more welding then i can get on with the body work!

Nowt wrong with some beefy steel like, If its thicker than OEM it will take longer to rust through !

looks like you've had problems with the welds penetrating in the first pic?

haha cheers for the comments lads!! yeah it is angle i got 4 meters for a tenner, was alot easier too cut too the right length, trace and then cut the shite out rather than fart around making/folding sheet!! nah no penertrating problems, it looks that way as i had too bridge a 10mm gap at the bottom.. il do the last piece then prime/seam seal then i can start the body work!!

few updates as i have been busy busy in some ways, but unfortunately not on the exterior!
firstly had my mani skimmed and made 265 brake at the wheels!! was pleased with that result!

    then came the welding

alls done and all the interiors back in
but then shortly after that i suspected a head gasket failure!! before things got worse i set about it, unfortunately im no mechanic so it was a daunting task!

    brought some shiney bits

    then re fitted

    and thats where im at!!
