Poor result, wasn't expecting that at all - think we got a big-headed and underestimated the opponent - tbh England team seemed shabby at play.
I found it hard to watch...
Mostly because of those ****ing Vuvuzela Horns. **** off! The only thing more annoying that flags on cars!

Mistake or no mistake, England were miserable tonight. USA were a very ordinary team and England made them look good. If the premierships best and brightest were doing their job they would have demolished them after the first goal went in. Hopefully England improve before they meet a good team.

Were the ITV tv analysts watching the same game, how can they say it was a good performance
England were awful to watch imho.

Lampard and Gerrard don't work, too far apart from one another, great attacking midfeilders as we have seeing in the EPL, but there was no creativity in the middle of the park or no link up between the defence and attack.
Heskey gets the best out of rooney? rooney looked average tbh. Terrible 1 on 1 effort from heskey.
SWP is not a left winger, kept coming inside, and what an excuse was that for a shot... Don't know why Joe cole didn't replace milner.
Lennon had good runs but didn't really pick out anyone.
Defence caught for pace.....
Kept giving possession away with long balls.

It was never going to be an easy match despite what some may think, the USA are no mugs and they played for a draw and packed the midfield and defence making it hard to play any other way than route 1. I'd like to see Lennon run at players more, tonight he seemed be giving and going instead of taking players on and making them commit and skipping past them. Rooney needs to stay up front too as using him as a link player never seems to get the best out of him and he's probably our best chance of progressing past the last 16. Not the end of the world but a bit disappointing, less of the pessimism
