not bad then, wonder if that with fuel in it tho because the tank hangs right out the back like R32, were the S14/S15silvia tank is infront of the axle.

Just trying to weigh up moving my engine back in my car, and lower, and maybe move the tank forward like an S14.

I think its without fuel but with a driver. 55/45 isnt too bad as standard

if you moved your engine back it would help get that balance closer to 50/50.....possibly a lot of work for minimal gains though!

Just when i go drifting, i find that i prefer the car with a full tank of fuel, so may explain why i do prefer that.

The car will have a Getrag V160 R34 6 speed box in it so there will be more weight there anyways so going to help, i'm thinking of about 4-5inch back, just enough to bring the gear stick back into the correect location and give me room for a savage v-mount setup.

    clarkey.

    R34 gearbox. Tidy!

in that case if you can do it, then moving it back prob will be of benefit.

    V mount FTW..:nod

Nice, altho i'm abit heavyer then 60kilos (10stone) lol, more like 110kilos

I don't want to loose much weight in the car, just want to shift it about a little as i don't want to rely on the amount of fuel in the tank to make the difference.

ha..i did think 60 kilos was a bit light...based on the average japenese person weight no doubt!!

you should have a drift in an rx7 to see what 50/50 weight distribution feels like

Raise the front suspension a bit and drop the rear to give a bit more even distribution just a thought

maybe worth getting yours cornerweighted? correct me if im wrong but your cars figures wont be factory as you've modded it? added weight here and there with roll cages fire extinguishers front mount etc, and prob lost weight in other places like sound deading etc?

you maybe surprised and it could be spot on 50/50 lol

am i right in saying BMWs are almost 50/50?

    You weighed it yet?

    Nicked from a magazine article;

    FL 344kg FR335kg
    RL 285kg RR304kg

No driver, CA engine, unsure of fuel level.

Best of luck with the new business

Plenty of room for a very good V mount with everything in stock position

My car (S13 with SR) without driver is:
    300kg 337kg
    250kg 217kg

Works out at 57.7% front weight, and 49.8% left.

Thats with carbon bonnet, striped out interior with cage. Fuel cell behind passenger seat. GRP boot with plastic screen. No air con.
