    Idle control valve

    Am goign to remove my idle control valve today and clena it as car is having idle issues, am just wondering what i should clean it with and also is it just a simple remove and clean and replace job, or do i need to do anything else?

    Plus what can i lean it with, would brake cleaner fluid be ok??

    brake cleaner, carb cleaner, fuel injection intake cleaner, it's all the same solvent kinda stuff. remove, clean with plenty of solvent and scrub with a toothbrush if there's any tough bits of grime. i give them a light spray with wd40 afterwards to keep it all lubed up but if you've got the stock breather system it'll get coated with a film of oil soon enough anyway
