Xbox 360 non-hdmi model Hdmi conection possible?

Hi guys,

I have an Xbox 360 premium addition without the HDMI connector on it. Is it possible to get an adaptor/converter or something to get it to connect with hdmi or dvi?

I'm asking as I have moved my Xbox upstairs due to ash from the fireplace but can't connect it to the 26" monitor

If you really mean Composite then yes. If you mean Component then yes, but not so much.

Depending on the cost it may be cheaper to just trade the old XBOX in and get an elite (2nd hand) ?? (especially as these items seem a little hard to come by)

If the monitor has a DVI input, all you need is a VGA cable and a VGA to DVI adaptor...

Then there's the sound of course. You'll probably need another adapter for that depending on what inputs your monitor has. I just used a cheap set of 2.1 PC speakers i had lying around!

heard from an insider, hmv have premium 60gb versions for 99.99 now.
or the brand new elite is only 159.99. pretty much everywhere.

Smacks of imminent release of a newer model lol. (Although I don't believe this is the case).

BTW... I found a low cost alternative to the HDMI. I just went for a VGA version instead, as my monitor has a VGA input as well. Makes it simple and cheap (Although not perfect... better than trying to hunt down a mad catz item for ages).

I think we should say 'slimish' as there's not a lot you can do with the DVD drive from a PC really.
