    Bike Insurance

    Hi all,

As you probably know Sky Insurance offer many types of insurance but we are very well known for specialising in Japanese import and modified car insurance. We insure everything from standard cars to very highly modified/customised show and competition cars.
We hold affiliations with 150+ Uk based car clubs and we offer preferential rates to any member of one of our affiliated car clubs.

We are now rolling out a bike club scheme similar to our car club scheme. Although we have been insuring bikes for some time, we have recently opened up a scheme which enables us to look at all sorts of different bike insurance risks, eg, convicted riders, new riders, custom bikes, modified bikes, performance bikes, trikes, quads, couriers, mopeds. You name it, we'll look at insuring it!

If and when you are looking around for your insurance for your bike, please call the Sky Insurance specialist bike team. If you don’t own a bike but know people who do, please recommend us. If you have a friend who wishes to be contacted to run through a quotation, feel free to encourage them to contact us using the details below or send us there details and we will contact them.

We do not have a discount to offer for the bike insurance but our rates will be looked at favourably and we are confident that in most cases we will be competitive on price and can offer a good service and level of cover.

Aaron, according to the notes on our system you have 0 years NCB. We'd need you to have at least 1 years provable claim free driving experience.

Will you cover a 400bhp 200sx in WA10 postcode, I am over 30 with 15 years NCB and have had the car six years.

Don't want to be passed around like two years ago if you can't cover me.

    Thanks,
    Scott.

Sky was the cheapest for me by far, even though it was more expensive than a quote I got off them a month earlier it was still the cheapest for me by £400, the guy I spoke too was really helpful aswell.

Just renewed mine today. Premium has gone up by around £100 but tbh I expected that.
I got to add no claims protection and limit the mileage....and the cost stayed the same so, happy enough, well kinda lol.

Have done a bit of phoning around today to get my daily insured (BMW 530D on a 2002 plate, so lots of insurers asking for silly money because at one time it was a £40k car)

I'm in a fairly familiar situation to a lot of you, i've got 2 cars that are both high insurance groups and need a company that can insure both for a reasonable price and mirror my no claims, it's no good me getting a £200 policy on the bmw if they'll charge £2000 to insure the 200sx!
oh, FYI i'm 29, live in a reasonable area and have got 5 years no claims (protected) and these policies were for Fully Comp

My renewal (A-Plan) was £887.04 I tried an online comparison and came back with a quote for £550 for the BMW with premium choice, and several others around the £600-£700 mark.
I tried flux who gave a silly quote (£1000+) and then Sky where I spoke to Luke, a very enthusiastic chap who managed to match my lowest quote of £550 & a £300 excess up to 20,000 miles including business useage. I went back to A-Plan who could only manage £579 with £350 excess. not a huge difference so it came down to the second car, asked for a quote with the 200sx, Rollcage, all suspension mods, brakes, wheels, rear seats removed, bucket seats, harnesses and an engine swap to an LS1 with 6 speed box and supporting mods (oil cooler, custom sump, aftermarket rad etc) and an estimated value of £8k-£10k which he came back with around £1100 which I think is reasonable enough all things considered A-plan didn't get back to me even though they knew i needed to renew today so Sky have my business and Luke earned it

Very impressed with the service, he called back when he said he would and was happy to go off and get quotes with the girlfriend on this policy and on the second car as he knew it was a part of my decision of who to go with

Thanks again chap, and for everyone else it's well worth giving them a call when it's time to get some quotes!

    Ollie,

Is it correct that Sky now want drivers to have at least 1 years experience before they will insure on an S14a?
