Loud resonating sound from Apex frontpipe

I'm getting a loud resonating sound from my Apex stainless steel flexi front pipe. This normally happens around 3k rpm and can be intermittent.

Initially I thought it was the clutch / gearbox, however I've changed the clutch and flywheel now and my mechanic friend says that is where its coming from.

Has anybody come across this before?

    Cheers

Don't believe so, and its not the heatshield (there isn't one ), I'm going to be ordering up some poly exhaust hangers as a start... My backpipe is rubbing against the rear bumper a bit, not sure if this would affect the resonating sound though?
