I would point and laugh about how much oil it takes, but I'll keep quiet on that front

    Bargain for the money

I'm not gonna strip it or anything, apart from the coilovers it should be fine. I'm leaning more towards forking out for a LSD for it as opposed to a welder though...

Got my cheap as chips coilovers as well

    Spot the homo:

    Fronts done:

Rears are a spring and damper setup with a height adjuster on the top of the spring:

    All finished:

Now I was worried that cheapo coilovers would be awful. They are a huge improvement of standard though. Not crashy, turn in massively improved, understeer reduced and road holding much better. They really tightened the car up. I'm really chuffed

Now you need a twin exhaust to fill the hole in the diffuser. I'm surprised it doesn't have one actually, I thought it was only the 4-pots that had the single pipe

And damn, that car looks clean underneath considering how much E36s rust

Its a 1997/8 car so there shouldn't be much rust, and they are made properly

Why, did they do something special to E36s in those years? I've seen some very rusty E36s in the past (a '97 M3 Evo included)...

Later cars....generally less rust but yeah there are exceptions....

My 328i is also a 97/8 car and has no rust at all! From the ones I have seen they don't rust anywhere near as bad as S bodies!!
