    TVR Sagaris love it??!!

Had to take a few pics of the last ever TVR model

I work near a well known TVR dealer and saw this parked up outside and couldnt resist a picture

    tvr sagaris 2

    tvr sagaris

I still love this motor, especially in black! 405bhp, 1100kg's Yes i know it's plastic and it will break down, but my dad had a 4.2 360bhp cerbera for 4 years and it never broke down once

The Sagaris will surely become a collectors classic!!

Some more photo's for you to ponder over?

    sagaris

It's a shame they spoiled it by putting one of their own engines in lol

Give me a 5.0LTR V8 Chimera any day though

I would have to diagree. A Rover (Buick V8) over a dry sumped race bred straight six The max you can take the rover (buick) engine was always to the 360bhp mark. Bored out to 5.4 ltr.....

A Sagaris or Tuscan S on over run is one of motoring's aural pleasures!!

You have to give TVR credit though for developing 3 deriatives of engine, the 4.5 ltr red rose producing 440bhp in factory trim is surely the one to source and force into your s14 engine bay

Yeah don't get me wrong lovely engine, but you wouldn't want to have one in your car, Well unless you are an AA platinum plus member that is.

You know where you are with a big ass V8 rover lump

There are places that rebuild the TVR straight six the resolves a few if not most of the issues

I dont care how unreliable they are, i want one, one day. Either a Cerbera or a sagaris, maybe a tuscan

    True,

But TVR's Ajp V8 is reliable, especailly in 4.2 (unstressed mode 360bhp spec) As with any high performance engine regular oil changes and getting the timing checked every 10k and it is one the the most underated V8's out there at the moment.

But i think I would still source a E39 M5 V8 if i was to go down the "aint no replacement for displacement" route!

    Want.

It's the perspex spoiler and sideways exhausts and axe'd bonnet that do it for me

the engine was designed originally by Al Melling, and then TVR 'productionised' his design to make it cheaper and quicker to produce, thats where 95% of the reliabilty issues come from (top end issues mainly). Al Melling is now reproducing all the original spec bits as a conversion for the AJP straight 6, not cheap, abot £5K, but has about 50hp hike and warranty and really really good reliability.

Sags a good looking motor, as is the T350C

I have a spare TVR I want to get rid of, if anyone is interested.

Haven't got round to advertising it yet.

Brand new Rover 3500 V8 engine in it.

    £4500 or nearest offer.

    Not a Sagaris obviously... its a 1987 350i Series 2.
