Uneven wheels on same axle - feck the LSD?

My other half's Celica has a flat tyre so I put the spare on. Need to sort some tyres for it, but in the mean time one of the rear caliper siezed on my Eunos, so I ran the Celica to work today (couple of miles away).

Anyway, being on the space saver there is a bit of difference in rolling radius (haven't worked it out though). Will this cause serious damage to the LSD quickly?

I don't intend to run it like this for long, but can't sort tyres til next week, yet can't use my Mazda until I get the calipers (tomorrow afternoon hopefully).

I would imagine as far as the lsd is concerned it will be just like you are going round a permanent corner for a long time

Imagine circumnavigating the m25 a few times

Yeah I guess, I mean it pulls to one side a bit, but it's not terrible.

It'll only see a few miles before the tyres get sorted anyway.

Why not swap a wheel from the other axle with the space saver? Then you have 2 identical diameter tyres on the LSD axle.

And don't forget, space savers are usually only for a short number of miles and often need replacing after being used. RTFM

Can you read Japanese?? I can't

I would swap a tyre from rear, but they are different size, so I'd have to swap both axles. I thought about it, but it's not practical for me at the mo as I have my Eunos up on stands.

It's not a big deal, I only need to use it for a couple more miles, then I can get some tyres sorted

Tomorrow is last time I will use it to go to work, then get some tyres fitted next week.

I don't think it's too bad anyway. Space saver is 135/70 16, other front tyre is 215/45 17, so space saver is 14.95mm smaller in RR. Not much smaller really.
