Nash I'm off next week, if you're about I'll stop by and have a good nose at the car.
im working all next week mate. but may be about in the evenings
Will PM you nearer the time.
update time.
right more car parcels have been coming over the last couple months. first was a delivery from opie oils.
finally got sent the right sandwich plate so i could finally crack on with fitting that.
first off removed all the rad and alternator etc. so that i could spruce them up abit and allow better access for under sealing and more access to fit the sandwich plate.
sandwich plate all fitted and defi`s all wired up finally
gave the alternator and brackets a spruce up with some new paint, come up like brand new.
whilst removing the alternator abbott decided to whack my finger instead of the alternator. resulting in this, dosent look too bad but the cut was really deep.
really wasn't impressed. had to go to the local doctors to check nothing was broken and to get it properly bandaged up. unfortunately it delayed any major work on the car for week as my index finger was bandaged the whole time. fortunately it gave me time to make another gauge pod id been meaning to make up, this time with the gauges facing towards the driver.
the finished product except flocking.
one of my track rods manged to get a damaged thread when i removed it so a new one was replaced and the other one was sprayed black to match the new one.
now reassembly could take place. actually managed to get most of it done in one night. sorry for crap pics have yet to get some in the day.
front whiteline arb was the last thing to go on
oh and all the ac was also removed too
thats it for today will have another update soon as iv done a fair bit since the front was finished.

got some pics of the finished gauge pod tonight with the gauges fitted.
also got some more bits flocked
armrest
and door handle surround.
had a nice parcel turn up today straight of the plane from japan the second set of takata`s iv been longing to get for ages. (and yes there genuine)
sorry for poor quality pics
right the rear.
first off removed the subframe as one.
then proceeded to remove all the arms driveshafts and diff
then once all this was done and everything out of the way, the grinder come out again to grind off any rust before it was primed and undersealed. didnt get any pics it before or after unfortunately.
also decided to remove the naff diff cooler. bit more tricky than i thought. almost every bolt snapped on me
thought id give the manky looking heat shields a tidy up, really improved the look underneath the car imo.
painted up the rear hubs the same as the fronts, didnt get any pics unfortunately, also cleaned up and painted the driveshafts.
also painted the diff. come up like brand new also connected the wires/hoses together since im no longer running the diff cooler.
got all the bushes removed from the subframe and lower arms so they could be sent of for powder coating.
ideally wanted some nismo rear lower arms but couldnt find for sale anywhere. so i opted to stick with the standard arms for now. removed the ball joints and bushes for powder coating so new ones had to be ordered. apex came to rescue with the ball joints, but i wasnt so lucky with the lower arm bushes. apex no longer do there uprated bushes, so had to hunt around for some. luckily sumo power had some super pro uprated bushes in stock. and they were cheaper than most of the other uprated bushes i came across
new ball joints
super pro rear lower arm bushes
also ordered some new plugs.
and recently bought a nice greddy fuel rail for when i opt for more power in the future
another delivery from apex. apex stiffer subframe bushes and apex locking collars and the alley diff bushes i got from todd on here, cheers mate
for those wondering which subframe bush goes where. the bushes which protrude out of the top go the front and the more sunken bushes go to the rear. there seems to be alot of confusion as to which ones go where, even apex didnt know
powder coated bits came back.
lower arms
and the subframe, with the bushes pressed inn and in the correct position.
thats it for now, have to get the rest of the pics of my camera before i can do any more
Looking really good nash
cheers buddy
Top work.
Did you find much rust under the car?
gold star to you mate, love it....its what i was going to do next if i still had it.
wasnt an awfull lot on the rear tbh think mainly because alot of it is covered up with subframe etc. have yet to underseal the middle section of the car as im in a rush to get it all done for the weekender. will wait till after the weekender to underseal the rest i think. also still got to do the rear arches, but they dont look to bad at all.
Thats good work there! i was going to powdercoat my subframe too but decided against and went for stonechip as powercoat is pretty brittle
was working on the car yesterday. first off fitted my harness properly, also fitted my freshly PC strut brace brackets
before
after
took of my downpipe so that a broken lamda sensor can be replaced
and a pic of the rear all finished .
geometry is all over the place cant really tell from the pic
all back on the floor running ride height
quick thanks for my mate popping round with his newly purchased ps
