    ID2000 injectors

Hi guys, wonder if you could give me a little bit of proffessional advice.

Im thinking of selling my RC engineering 1000cc injectors and buying a set of the ID's you sell. I see you have run the 1000's on a customers build upto 660bhp? I plan to build to around the same power level, at what point will the 1000's not be enough, when would i need to consider running the 2000's?

I dont want to be overkill and doubt my engine will be built to take more than 700bhp.

    Cheers Aj

I think your pump gas is slightly different than ours maybe higher rating. What RON is it?

At that you will probably have to run higher fuel pressure to compensate for the gasoline used. Depending on the fuel pump you are running, it may or may not like the higher bump in fuel pressure.

I will be using an aeromotive A1000 pump, swirl pot, walbro feeding and Aeromotive pressure reg. I believe the fuel is 99ron.
Which injectors would you advise the 1000's or the 2000's? Are the 1000's capable of upto 700bhp?

    Cheers Aj

    Have a play with this...
    http://www.injectordynamics.com/hors...alculator.html

RC 1000s will probably supply enough fuel for 700 (pump fuel), but whether you'll actually be able to run 700 on pump fuel is another question, it's asking a lot.

If you plan on running E85 then you should consider 2200, or maybe you could get away running ID 1000s at high pressure.

    All IMO, of course.

Taking the fuel into consideration, its not quite safe to run at that power. You will either have to pull tons of timing or add tons of timing but that can lead to detonation also.

ID1000 on 50psi of base fuel pressure be safe to say somewhere around 600-650

Just looking into some options available to me thats all Redlinezak, you know me lol!

Why would i need to run loads of timing etc to get 700BHP? Just because of the fuel ron?
My intention is around or just above 600bhp but wanted to be sure the injectors were capable of more if needed. So the RC's will be ok? or should i go with the ID1000's?

    Cheers Aj

    RCs are fine for 600.

I'm sure Mr Worx meant pull loads of timing, or add loads of fuel.

The RC1000's should be ok, just dont run them to full duty cycle. RC's tend to lock up. Plus the RC's you will have to run resistors for them to work also.

Yes Jezz_S13 sorry meant add loads of fuel

Which is why im thinking of switching to the ID1000's. Would these be better for me than the RC's?

On the ID's you can run up to 100psi of fuel pressure without any issues at all. Its a matter if your pump can hold it or not. So essentially the ID1000's are technically the better choice overall.

I was thinking of meth inj but concerned about failures and still intend to use the car on the road when the summer weather turns up.
Think it might go for the ID1000's as they seem the simpler and more advanced set-up.
