    servicing problems :(

ok. went to service my car today and ran into some problems.
first plugs : changed 1 and 4 fine 2 and 3 where very very tight. after about 20 mins of slow turns back and forwards we got 2 out. lost a few threads but seemed ok.3 we couldn't even turn. any ideas???
also the coilpack seems to be starting to fall apart.(the spring fell out of number 1 but managed to get it back in place)
started the car and its miss firing

i have changed the fuel filter although it was bigger (longer) then the original.
    could this make any difference??

when we changed the oil filter it was , a massive gouge inside it. so pretty much not a filter any more.

no idea who serviced the car befor me but im not a happy chap to say the least.

so tonight it is sleeping at my mates work shop till tomorrow. but i have no idea what the problem is.

any ideas greatfull and wil try them out tomorrow.

i also changed a few hoses but im sure i have reconnected all of them.

    thanks

Sounds like a right bodge job was done of it before.. Hope you manage to get the plug out with out snapping it etc..

Have a look in the breakers section for a set of coilpacks, you should be able to pick up a set for around £50

Springs in the coilpacks is fairly common and could be the cause of your problem. Some of the S13 guys have been known to use springs out of pens as replacements.....

You could try getting the engine hot and see if the plug comes out. Watch ya fingers.

well started the car yesterday and it seemed to have cured itself, but after doing the rest of the service and letting it run for awhile it started again.
didn't try to get the plug out, will try that tomorrow after i finish work.
