How much do you pay for broadband and phone landline etc?

Hi, I'm looking to see whether to move my broadband/landline/television package to elsewhere.

Could you please let me know what deals you are on, my Virgin Media was supposedly recently upgraded from 2MB to 10MB, but I've not seen much difference!!

    Virgin Media
Phone line - £11 per month
    10MB down, 512k UP broadband - £20 per month
Medium TV Package - free with above

The medium TV package is not really any different to freeview though!!

    Cheers,
    Scott.

Virgin is the best value IMO Sky try to make out they are cheaper but dont mention the BT line rental I also like the catch up TV feature, very useful and means you dont have to go online to Iplayer etc.

Mine has been upgraded from 2MB to 10MB and its much quicker on downloads, browsing isnt any quicker but then 2MB is more than fast enough for that already

i used to pay £19 a month for sky's basic TV package with 2 additional "packs" (still 100's of channels) there basic 2Mb interweb and sky talk which is FREE evening and weekend calls to landlines.

i did however just upgrade to there 10Mb for an extra £5 a month.

just looking on the website, for new customers they now throw in 6 months free 20MB bradband for new customers

you do, however, need to factor in the line rental

The old catchphrase for cable, "If you can, you should" still rings true IMO. Fastest internet going, and excellent prices.

Unhappily I cant get it in deepest darkest Devon, so sky is looking tempting. You can get connection (which I need) for £39 rather than BT's £150, line rental is the same £11 through sky, and with the right package it's not that bad!

I pay £12 or whatever it is for the phone line, £18 for 24mb down/1.3mbit up (realistically 15/1.3) bb. Also got Sky telly but didn't want their bb.

I wanted cable when I moved in with the mrs as I already had a contract with NTL (now virgin). Our building is the only one on the whole street with no cables running to it

I am with O2 for broadband and BT for the phone line. Use freeview as i cant afford to justify getting Sky just yet

Broadband - £7.95 p/month up to 10Mb (due to my location i have ~5Mb Down and ~1Mb Up)
Phone Line - £17 p/month free evening and weekends incl. line rental too.
    TV - Free

    mine is from o2

    £7.50/month upto 10 meg (I get 6.5 down 1.1up)

and BT basic phone + free evening and weekends £33 a quarter (I think)

    not had any problems yet

and don't pay for SKY, as its full of shit repeats!

I have a medi center PC, using a free sat HD card and satelite dish and download anything i cant see on it, or just buy the DVD/BD of any fils i want to see, then i can watch them anytime and it costs less than £30 a month to buy the couple of good films they show

Sky BB has just gone down hill for me. The £5/month for their 10Mb service (I get 6Mb) has now gone up to £10 and they've also instigated a 10Gb download limit. Plus the quality of service has gone down, with multiple drop outs in the last month.

I'm with Sky for all TV, phone and BB but reconsidering the BB now

Same as above except we also have Sky+ which is £21 pm so all in it's £38 pm.

Hmm, that's not great actually but then having a fully unlimited internet connection is a must. I'd quite happily ditch Sky as it's a rip off considering we only have the news package (for Eurosport (how does that work anyway?)).
