Today was a nice rolling day lol. Mr Pablo was given the task of rolling the front arch's to make sure my car doesnt rub going over the smallest of bumps anymore lol.

I took the chance to wire brush a few tiny spots of surface rust and then painted the inner arch with hammerite then applied a nice healthy coat of stone chip.

the wiring loom was tucked out of the way but its not enough so I'm going to redo that in the morning, fingers crossed I wont need to remove the wing but think I might have to .

Just need to wait for my 25mm spacers for the back now aswell as my OMP steering wheel which still hasn't arrived .

    More to come soon

    Another day, another update.

Since rolling the arch's and pulling the arch liners out its left my wiring harness exposed so today I tried to reposition the wiring harness.

I found this pic on the net and tried to copy it.

It hasn't gone well though, I've copied that picture but still on full lock to the right the tyre touches the wiring. What are my options?

    Raise the car up?
Fit some adjustable tension rod arms' to give some more caster?
Chop up the wiring harness and run it through the engine bay,
or cut a hole in the wing to run the cables through that so the cables are further away from the wheel?

    Wing removed

Wiring all repositioned, still problems though.

Very close to the rubber gromet

I also moved the washer bottle again to keep that away from the wheel on full lock.

Thats so close to the rear of the inner arch I think the only real way of gaining clearance with your set up without raising it, changing wheels/spacers etc, is more caster

Id run it through the inner wing or get it as high as you can while the wings off.

Props to you sir for cracking on with it today though

there's no way the wiring can go up anymore :-(. Adjustable tension rods it is then.

It took me about 2 hours to do all that today to gain a few more mm's of clearance :-(.

I'm gonna run the cables through the engine bay I think.

so daz, you say you removed the arch linings...
does this mean your never going to fit them again??

EDIT: also, what front pads and disc are they....?

the pads look well over sized

The arch liners don't fit now that the arch's have been rolled so they have been cut back.

The Pads are Yellow stuff's. They are part of the 330mm Big brake kit from DB-Power

i put some small holes in mine and used some zip ties.

if you use the car regularly, especially in poor weather i would seriously consider modifying them to fit

i know you have put sealant etc in there, but its also your door hinges etc exposed to the poor uk conditions!

Technically they are an addition to the BB kit. You could use the standard pads if you wished.. I have the exact same set up

Got another delivery today from Apex Performance. Just waiting for the other arm to arrive for the full set.

Bushed Alignment arms to keep the car comfortable.

I'm going to fit the front ones either today or tomorrow, no idea if I should fit them at the shortest length first to give me the most clearance until I can get the alignment sorted.

For the rears I'm going to look for a spare rear subframe and replace all the bushes and fit the arms at the same time. I'll then treat the few little rust spots under the back while i'm at it.

Will hopefully pick my spacers up from the post office in a few minutes.

I've finally been told my steering wheel will be delivered in 2 weeks, only taken 4 weeks to find that out
