Weekend didn't go to plan. Got hardly anything done.

Fitted my Gktech coolant neck spacer.

Then I set about taking the gearbox about to replace the bearings.

The remover I had wouldn't fit under the bearing so drove around trying to find on on Saturday which was a waste of time. So I've ordered one that I'll collect tonight.

Just get the one you need from a bearing supplier, will be much cheaper. Just make sure its a well known brand like SKF, Timkin, NSK etc.

This is the input shaft bearing that I've ordered. http://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/adv...s=63062rsnr-mb

I got the gaskets from Nissan through Desa on here.

It's a really nice bit of kit. A lot smaller than I thought it was going to be I must say.

I've still got plenty of the Nissan Gasket sealant that was used for rebuilding the engine.

Why do people buy the water neck spacer when you could just drill and tap the sensor into the neck itself?

A silicone sealant that's used with sumps etc.

Never even considered doing that haha.

New Z32 fuel filter with new fuel lines fitted. Just a bit bigger than the standard filter.

I love that with all the attention to detail, care and expense, an old bolt is still the best thing to plug a fuel line until it's ready to be connected

I've got some more cool parts ready to be fitted.

Proline Motorsport sorted me out an ABS removal kit so just building up the courage to drill into the bodywork to secure the lines lol. The hoses are a nice braided finish with a clear outer layer which give a carbon fibre appearance .

Also the silicon hoses for the intercooler have arrived along with some vacuum hosing. I've already got the hard pipes but haven't taken any photo's just yet.

Big update today. Mark kindly came over to help put the gearbox back together and get the engine back into the car.

After 2 years, the engine is finally off the stand.

Who can spot the mistake in this. Only realised we missed it out after we had fitted the box to the engine lol. oops.

Gearbox and engine finally back together again.

All ready to drop into the engine bay.

    In she goes.

Back in where she belongs .

    Goodbye engine straps.

All back in the garage ready for the next stage .

To say I'm happy would be a massive understatement. I am absolutely over the moon with the progress that's been made lately. Can't wait to get the running in out of the way .

Yep the purple bay looks 100 times better than the standard black.
