Taking this one step further are there any benefits to be had from either VTA or recirced DV's on a MAP sensored car or is it just personal preference then?
nah i meant in one of his posts in this thread he mentioned running without stock recirc causing turbo failures and only to be used in racing situations where the turbo is changed regularly. i've never seen a competition car with the pigeon mod, they want the turbo spinning as much as possible and not stalling with every shift, which is also why a lot of people with MAP systems will run a recirc or dv as well. anything to stop the turbo stalling

Yeah thats why i still run but was just wondering if there was any benefit to either particular type? Im guessing it probably makes no difference in a MAP system tho?

IIRC the standard recirc valve is fitted as much to simply reduce noise...

the other benefit of a recirc is that you don't sound like a complete chav

It makes no difference as the throttle plate is closed.

nah dnt think it matters that much if using MAP instead of MAF.

ive seen VTA valves being put before the intercooler - why dump after its been through the IC, dump before it, make the IC more efficient by not cooling air that will be wasted....

When I fitted a D-Jetro I went with no DV. The "pigeon" was so fecking loud I reinstalled my re-circed blitz dv with no issues, now I just use the blitz dv to atmosphere, not sure why just looks neater I suppose

    recirc is for AFM'd cars...

VTA is no problem at all on a MAP based system. since fuelling is derived from inlet pressure vs engine speed.. the pipe work leading up to the throttle body is ignored
