V-bands & aluminium flanges (for an exhaust)

Is it normal for V-band flanges to be made of aluminium if they'd be getting fitted to a stainless steel exhaust? I was under the impression the flanges would be welded to the exhaust and welding alu to stainless didn't strike me as normal..?

...Or am I just not reading that right & there's another part of the clamp that's alu & the flanges are s/steel?

    For example:

the flanges that are aluminium are for turbo cold side, inter cooler pipework etc, the clamps are stainless steel as an aluminium clamp would collapse under any load, also aluminium would melt on an exhaust
    all stainless steel on exhausts

Cheers for that! I'll have to try & figure out which ones are all-stainless so!

Does anyone have any recommendations on good v-band clamp kit manufacturers?
