It is - its the type of bracket that has been used. Recon Ill be doing away with it very soon and screwing the plate directly to the bumper...

Right, this car is really starting to take shape now...

Heres a few things that have no been done...

BC Coilovers fitted - thanks to Apex

    New 15" Team Dynamics wheels

    Wilwood 300mm stoppers

    Gearbox final drive swap

    Then she got stripped

    ...really stripped

    #

Then this lot had to go in

..my idea to keep the screen clear when it rains

    Then it all needed painting

...and that where the car is now up to. Got to start putting it back together over the weekend and get the seat fitted

Its always depressing and horrible to see a good car get completely butchered like that but the end result (nearly) always makes it all worth while.

Good luck with the rest of the build and the coming season

The cage is a Custom cages jobbie, I stripped the car, and myself and a friend fitted the cage. Another friend painted the inside for me

    Looks great fella

This isn't a road car anymore is it? I wondered if you'd tried the coilies out on the english highways....

Nice... I guess they are all weld-in .. I don't know any practicing welders, time for me to get a course in it I think, my mother of all people used to be a great welder apparently!

Anyway half of me really fancies my car looking like that inside with some nice buckets.. Shame it puts practicality and back-seat shenanigans out the window

I like that a lot and I always had a soft spot for ITRs... I'm just wondering if it won't be feeling a bit underpowered compared to the S14. Any plans for bigger bhp?

    Weekends progress....

Refitted the dash, plugged the loom back in, tucked all the loom in place and secured it., refitted the ECU, fitted the seat and refitted the doors and tailgate

The car is still road legal - I put an MOT on it just before I started to strip it, and I taxed it this month also. I have driven the car on the road with the coilovers on, and TBH I think on the road it was easier to drive quick with the OEM setup fitted as its a bit more forgiving on our crap roads

Ive also got pretty heavy springs fitted which makes it a bit on a bone shaker when it gets bumpy lol

Hope to be able to get this down to mid 900's as well
Im aiming for sub 900kg with mine

its doable, I had mine down to 930, but have managed to ditch the heaters and ABS as well as a few other bits
