The tell-tales are on the instrument cluster so they don't need lights in the switches for the MOT
I'd probably go for the discreet rocker switch option, as the amount of times you actually need your fogs are few and far between in this country

Exactly I'm more likely to need them for the MOT than actual fog

Not that I know of, it's Caribbean Blue, which I think was a standard colour.

Next job is to make all four red lights as the back work as tail/brake lights. Currently the outer pair ans stop/tail, and the inner pair are just fog lights. There is a trick with P600 diodes which allows all for to work as stop/tail, and the inner pair to also work as foglights. I don't know alot about diodes, will any P600 diode do the job?

P600 just looks like the package of the diode i.e. a cylindrical shape with a lead out of each end and a certain size. As long as the spec of the diode exceeds the volts and the amps it is likely to see it should work fine.

Drove a total of 400 miles today to pick this up

Engine, ECU, flywheel, gearbox and driveshafts, and only done 35k miles

There is nothing at all wrong with the engine in mine, it's still making 175bhp, but it has done 120k.

I plan on taking the head off, port matching and flowing it, maybe a skim to raise the compression and some higher lift/duration cams, then rebuilding with new oil seals, cambelt and tensioners and clutch. Then dropping it in

I can then use my old inlet manifold to fabricate my Independent Throttle Body idea
