Paul has now ordered all the metal for the chassis and should be coming to collect all the various bits on or around the weekend of the 18/19th, then it's all go for the frame

I'm hoping there will be lots of pics to show of various states of assembly.

Paul can i assume your not coming on Sunday due to the weather or is it not too bad where you are?

I don't fancy lifting the body on this ice!

Roads are fine round here too.

I'll bring the pallet truck home then so we can roll them down the drive.

    Well let the fun commence

After the slight inconvenience that is Christmas and new year Paul finally came to pick most of the big bit's up today so a start can be made on the chassis and body metalwork.
After a couple of hours of shifting and moving stuff around we loaded the engine/box and wheels onto the back of his truck and got all the bodywork and suspension onto the car trailer.

(website currently not up and running but i'm sure it will be soon)

It's winging it's way as i type down to his workshop in Brackley and in roughly 10 days i should have most of the chassis complete and possibly some of the metalwork on the body done

At this point in time i'm extremely happy and can't wait to see the pics of the build progressing.

There are a few more details that we need to finalise but i believe the ground rules are in place.

    Arrow Chassis work begins

It's all still in the mockup stage but on the table

Then lifted it all on the frame table and got the centre lines marked up, cab is in right position relating to wheelbase and engine is in( a little high at moment but does not matter as all is only a guide at mo)
Will start on frame design tomorrow!
Will have to get hubs machined out as bolts are properly stuck in them!
I'm not surprised by the rust on the subframes and hubs as they were on Neville for a good few years and have been sat under covers for 12 months.

    Another update from Paul.

The cab is now braced a little so Paul can start chopping it about. As you can see some metal has been cut to allow tubes to be passed through for more mocking up. The tunnel has been chopped to allow room for the engine and box but i'm fairly sure more will have to come out when the bodydrop happens.

The chassis design we have opted for is a backbone type. This is the first basic draft but there are a lot more tubes to be added in for suspension pickup points at the back and body mounts etc . Paul is using tubes as opposed to box section as it allows for a more neatly packaged frame and mean that the bodydrop won't have to be as severe as if box section was used. More importantly, will look ace!

Now to turn this into that

a few cuts, bends and notches and it's begun

Paul's also chopped the Terrano arches out of the quarters i had and clecco'd them to the bed sides to see what will need doing there.
