Intermittent reaer wiper?

Anyone else have an issue with the rear wiper?

Mine basically stops half way through a motion, i press it again and it continues another half, then hit the button again to come back down?

funny thing...


my front blades also work fine on low and high speed, but put em on intermittent and it'l come on once every 25 miles or so LOL

The front wiper thing sounds like a loose connection.

The rear problem sounds like a worn slip ring (ooh er)
There is polo mint shaped sliver of metal with a gap in it. When you turn the wipers off, they keep going until an electric contact in the motor gets to the gap in the sliver, hence self parking. If the sliver of metal wears through, you get them stopping in odd places.
I don't think this can sensibly be repaired. 2nd hand motor time.

If it's anything like my Fiesta was, this sliver of metal is very thin. More like a flat letter C than a polo mint really.

yeh me

mine's same as yr's. i know for a fact that yr's has been to bit's & greased ect, it did work fine cause i was gonna borrow it ..
